A British court docket granted an attraction on July 20 that gave Craig Wright the best to argue in litigation that the file format is sufficiently well-defined to qualify for copyright safety.
Wright, who since 2016 claims to be the inventor of Bitcoin (BTC), has launched a lawsuit towards 13 Bitcoin Core builders and a gaggle of corporations, together with Blockstream, Coinbase (NASDAQ:) and Block, alleging infringement of its copyrights to the Bitcoin whitepaper, its file format, and database rights to the Bitcoin blockchain.
