Coinbase (NASDAQ:) Chief Authorized Officer Paul Grewal has issued an apology after the crypto change despatched an electronic mail calling the Pepe the Frog meme a “image of hate” – a transfer that prompted many customers to name for a boycott.

In a Could 11 tweet, Grewal stated Coinbase “screwed up” by sharing details about the Pepe meme, which included that he had been co-opted by quite a few alt-right teams as a logo of hate. In line with the Coinbase CLO, the change was making an attempt to “present a factual image of a trending subject” to its customers.
